Groups and Trainings

Note: Community gatherings happen about once a month. These events are a community building space for people to explore alternatives to traditional religion and spirituality. They are for people of all or no faith and are a way to honor different religions, cultures and healing modalities. The topics and specifics of the events are chosen by members of Multifaceted Journeys.

Please email Crystals at crysalsmultifaceted@protonmail.com to set up a time to learn more about Multifaceted Journeys and become a member.

Living Your Purpose

“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” This is a four week course designed to help participants combine these. How do we begin working in ways that not only earn money and get our needs met, but also are in alignment with our passions and what makes us come alive. Each of us have gifts and a purpose in our lives and when our work is in alignment with this many so called mental health problems are resolved.

Each week we will explore topics and challenges related to stepping into our destiny and fulfilling our dreams. People will be given the opportunity to practice their gifts and receive feedback and encouragement from the group.

Sandcastles in the Sky

Image of a yellow brick road laid over a river, a tree, and a meadow. There are flowers and a rocking chair and a pink/purple castle on top of a stone mountain.

Many of us grew up faster than we were ready and did not experience the joys of childhood. Play and fun can be foreign or even scary. In this four-week series Crystals draws on her own healing journey to guide others through creative processes that include art, drama, and music. Participants are given the freedom to participate in ways that feel aligned and respectful of their limitations and emotional states.

“Sandcastles in the sky seems purely fun and lighthearted, but is also deep and meaningful work. I was surprised at how hard it can be to allow myself to play. We all supported and encouraged each other. As a result I was able to step out of my comfort zone, risk opening myself to joy and acceptance. I found belonging and feel more at home with myself.” -2023 Group Participant

Reclaiming Spirituality

A group for people who’ve been through trauma or abuse by religious leaders or have internal conflict related to spirituality. Many who’ve been hurt in these ways have also found comfort and peace from reclaiming their religions in their own ways, finding new religious communities, or another source of spirituality all together. There can also be internal conflict or disagreements from having had supportive experiences in churches or with leaders who also were the source of hurt.

Get those creative juices flowing with fiction/story prompts. Stories are a foundational part of the human experience and fiction writers are some of the most powerful people in the world because it is through story that people are able to truly step into another’s experience. When we write fiction we have an opportunity to process our lives similar to what happens when we dream. We have the ability to rewrite the ending and bring light to truths that are often deeper than what we see in a “true story”. No writing experiencer or talent necessary. We welcome those with writer’s block.

We often compare ourselves to others or look outside of ourselves for direction rather than determining what is best for us. This can be especially complicated when part of a plural collective, with only singletons as examples of how to navigate life’s challenges. Compass Calibration is a metaphor for working to find our own true north so that we can chart a path forward and live our best lives.
